Donald GriffinMill Spring, N.C. - Donald William Griffin, 60, husband of Shirley Weatherman Griffin of 100 Toney Road, Mill Spring, NC died Thursday, April 20, 2006. Born in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late Clarence Griffin and Mary Lee Jackson. During his 40 years of marriage he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving beside his wife are: a son, Michael Griffin of Mill Spring, NC; 4 sisters; Doris Hooper and Dorothy Reid both of Mill Spring, NC; Barbara Revels of Cowpens, SC and Pat Pittman of Columbus, NC; 2 brothers, James Griffin and Rick Giles both of Mill Spring, NC. Also surviving are three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Donald Dwayne Griffin who died in l966. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006 in Beulah Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC with Rev. Steve Price officiating. Burial will be in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday night in the McFarland Funeral Chapel. The family will be at the home, 100 Toney Road, Mill Spring, NC.
