Diane Laura Mullen Blais, 69, of 4304 U.S. Hwy. 64/74, Rutherfordton, NC died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at her home. Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alberta Fish Mullen. She taught classes for mentally challenged children in FL before moving to Polk County, NC in 2000. Mrs. Blais moved to Rutherford County in 2005. She was a member of the Forest City Church of the Nazarene, Forest City, NC.Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Edmond Blais of the home: two sons, Charles Blais of Goshen, NH and Arthur Blais of Pelham, NH; four brothers, John Mullen of Landrum, SC, Charles Mullen of AZ, Joseph Mullen of Newburyport, MA., and Thomas Mullen of Mexico, MO; three sisters, Alberta Kenney of Slidell, LA, Dorothy Wilson of Bedford, NH and Patricia Vinson of Chester, SC. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the Forest City Church of the Nazarene, Forest City, NC with Rev.
