Dawn Pearson Pitcock, 56, of Hendersonville, North Carolina passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025 surrounded by family. She was a wonderful “Mama” but she loved nothing more than her title of “Granny”. She will be remembered for her boundless generosity, beautiful smile, and warm caring soul. 

Dawn was the daughter of Adeline Pearson and the late Danny Pearson. She leaves behind her loving husband of 34 years, Jimmy Pitcock. She was blessed with two daughters Savannah Crane (Brett) and Danielle Pitcock. She was the best “Granny” in the world to her beautiful granddaughter, Wrenley Crane. She was also lucky to have a Great-Niece and Nephew, Nylah and Kaiden Jackson, whom she loved and cared for like her own. 

Dawn loved people, and never met a stranger, whether in her business (ChromeSide Grill) or while out shopping or having dinner. She would often have the waiter pick up someones bill from across the room and pay it secretly. Nothing made her happier than to do something for someone else. Her whole life she was happiest in the kitchen, and she would always cook enough for an army, just because someone might need or want something. There was always a seat for anyone and everyone at her table. 

Dawn created so many friendships throughout her life, and she loved each and every one of you. She would be happy to know that her compassionate and generous acts could continue to bless and reach more people. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2025 in Saluda City Cemetery, Saluda, North Carolina with Reverend Tom Burke officiating. The family asked that you dress casual.

If you wish to send flowers, you are welcome to do so. However, the family would encourage you to instead do something kind in Dawn’s memory.
