Mill Spring, NC- David Samuel Ballard, 77, went home to be with his Savior on July 22, 2026.

David was the son of the late Joseph and Hattie Moss Ballard. He was employed by the KEMET Corporation for 42 years, retiring in March of 2012. David was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Mill Spring, NC where he served as a deacon. David helped to found the deaf ministry program at a church in Greenville.

Surviving is his wife of seventeen years, Carole Ballard; three children, Bryan Talley (Sally) of Lyman, SC; Evan Talley (Kirsten) of Mills River, NC; Tracy Bayne (Eric) of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren, Jacob Talley, Alivia Talley, Misty Jones (David), Joshua Jones, Cassandra Maxwell, and Alex Bayne (Leah); a brother, Alan Ballard (Elizabeth), of Simpsonville, SC; and a sister, Wynona Ballard of Greenville, SC.
