Mill Spring, NC - Darrell Wayne Biddy, 62, of 2221 Pea Ridge Road, Mill Spring, NC died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at his home. Born in Unicoi County, TN, he was the son of the late D. Y. and Mae Smith Biddy. Wayne attended Chase High School in Rutherford Co., NC for three years before graduating from Unicoi County High, Erwin, TN. Mr. Biddy moved to Polk County, NC in 2002. He was a member of Lowell Church of God, Lowell, NC. Surviving are his wife, Betty Fender Biddy; three daughters, Crystal Prough ( Lloyd) of Mooresboro, NC, Vicky Clawson (Billy) of Boiling Springs, SC, and Valerie Biddy Lowe (Brooks) of Morganton, NC. Four grandchildren: Kaylynn, Christopher, Peyton, and Hampton. Funeral Service will be held 11:00am Thursday, December 30, 2010 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Michael Coward and Rev. Joe Heffner officiating. Family to receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday just prior to the service in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC. Graveside service will follow the morning service at 3:00pm Thursday in Evergreen Cemetery, Erwin, TN with Ledford Funeral Home, Erwin, TN in charge of arrangements.
