Daniel Buford Gosnell, 70, of Tryon passed away, Thursday evening, August 30, 2018 at the Smith Phayer Hospice House.Born in Polk County, he was the son of the late Buford and Juanita Bradshaw Gosnell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during Vietnam. Mr. Gosnell retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He enjoyed coin and gem collecting.Surviving is his wife, Frankie Gosnell; two sons, Jeffery Wall, Donnie Wilson and wife Anissa; one daughter, Michelle Plumley; grandchildren, Taylor Plumley, Zack Wilson, Cayden Wilson, Ryan Wilson, and Mason Wilson.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in Polk Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Justin Nelson officiating with military rites conducted by the Polk County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the McFarland Funeral Chapel.
