COLUMBUS, NC -- Cynthia Mae Foster, of Columbus, NC died Saturday, September 05, 2009 in Ridge Rest Nursing Center in Columbus, NC.Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Baylis and Eliza Newman Henderson. She was a member of Tryon First Baptist Church in Tryon, NC. Mrs. Foster was the widow of J. T. Foster who died in 1977. Surviving is one niece, Frances Rozema of Tryon, NC. Two nephews, Keith Johnson of Landrum, SC and Howard Greene of Tryon, NC. Also several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Alma Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 7, 2009 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Dr. Bill Henderson and Rev. Dean Elliott officiating.Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC.The family will receive friends following the graveside service in Polk Memorial Gardens.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Dr., Columbus, NC 28722.
