Cora Lynn Hipp Hammond, 36, of Hendersonville, passed away, Friday evening, July 29, 2022.Born in Hendersonville, she was the daughter of Jerry Hipp of Saluda and Kathy Gosnell Hipp of Hendersonville. Cora was a 2004 graduate of East Henderson High School and was a C.N.A having worked in the past for Sunnybrook Assisted Living.Surviving in addition to her parents are three children, Weyland Hammond, Lincoln Hammond and Katelyn Hammond; one brother, Cody Hipp of Saluda; one sister, Carol Duncan (Trent) of Waynesville; step-father, Jim Rathbone of Hendersonville; two nieces, Taylor Duncan and Makayla Duncan.The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2022 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Reverend Henry Vegter officiating.Burial will follow in Saluda City Cemetery.
