Columbus, NC- Charles Edward Sossong, 79, of 476 Woodland Dr., Columbus, NC, died Sunday March 4, 2007 in St. Luke's Hospital, Columbus, NC. He was the husband of Marjorie Justus Sossong. Born in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of the late Charles and Mildred Sossong. Mr. Sossong was retired from Texaco after fourteen years of service. He moved to Polk County in 2004 coming from Port St. Lucie, FL. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, FL, Holy Child Parish, Bridgeville, PA, and St. John's Catholic Church, Tryon, NC. Surviving besides his wife are, two sons, Mark Sossong of Clinton, PA and Jeffrey Sossong of Columbus, NC; one daughter, Joyce Woods of Port St. Lucie, FL; a sister Amber D'Zurino of Washington, PA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday March 6, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Tryon Seventh Day Adventist Church with Rev.
