Saluda- Charles "Charlie" Singleton, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 15, 2022.Charlie was born in Polk County, to Roland Martin Singleton and Betsy Anderson Singleton.  He was a graduate of Polk County High School and previously a volunteer firefighter for Saluda Volunteer Fire Department.  Charlie was known as a jack of all trades that could fix almost anything. He was a loving husband, brother, and son, but above all else, he was a loving father whose world revolved around his children.Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Roland Martin Singleton; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Shirley Anderson and paternal grandmother, Edna S. Keith.Surviving is his loving wife, Kayla Singleton; four children, Ian Cole Singleton, Connor Bryson Singleton, Charles Kameron Singleton and Sydney Paige Singleton; a grandson, Nash Juarez; a granddaughter on the way, August; his mother, Betsy Singleton; and his brothers, Michael Singleton and Anthony Singleton.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Mountain View Baptist Church in Zirconia, NC with Rev. Sam Beddingfield officiating.In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established to support his children's education and future needs.  Donations may be made at any State Employees Credit Union (SECU) to the "Kayla Singleton Donation Account".
