Charles "Chuckie" Earnest Raines, 54, of Spindale, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, September 30, 2022 at his home.Born in West Columbia, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Charles Raines and Mary Colvin Raines. Chuckie most recently worked at Everest in Forest City. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his brother Andy and enjoyed fishing.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry.Surviving is his wife of 25 years, Crystal Bradley Raines; two sons, Charles Jesse Raines and Joshua Poteat both of Mill Spring; three daughters, Starla Raines of Mill Spring, Kristen Carroll (Tyler) of Cliffside and Savanna Poteat of Spartanburg; one step-son, Douglas "Ryan" Boothe of Monroe; two brothers, his twin, Andy Raines (Kim) of Mill Spring and David Walker of Columbia; one sister, Tammy Walker of Columbia; nine grandchildren, Madison, Katie, Joshua, Wyatt, Joseph, Olivia, Maci, Glenn and Niko. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening, October 6, 2022 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.No services are planned.
