Hendersonville, NC - Charles "Chuck" Wesley McCollum, 71, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in the Elizabeth House, Flat Rock, NC.Born in Alabama, he was the son of the late Jesse and Annie G. McCollum. A Guardian Ad Litem in Henderson County, he was a foster parent as well as a Free Mason and Shriner of Kedron Lodge #387, Hendersonville, NC. Chuck was of the Baptist faith. Chuck is survived by his wife of eight years, Regina Davis McCollum of Hendersonville, NC; a son, Derek McCollum of Sacramento, CA; a daughter, Kimberly McCollum of Roseburg, OR; as well as two step-sons, Shawn Davis (Theresa) and Shann Davis (Kelly) both of Fletcher, NC. Also surviving are two sisters, Brenda Johnson and Paula Avery both of Searcy, AR; three grandchildren: Colton, Harrison and Bryn; a great-grandson, Atlas and step-granddaughter, Savannah; along with sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dawn and Joe Lee Case. He was preceded in death by one sister and eight brothers.Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 26, 2014 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Masonic Rites provided by the Kedron Lodge #387 of Hendersonville, NC.Memorials may be made to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College St. Oxford, NC 27565 or the Shriners Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
