Charles Boyce Howard, 76, of Tryon, NC passed away, Monday afternoon, June 18, 2018 at his home.A native of Polk County, NC he was the son of the late Hugh Edward Howard and Estelle Garrett Howard. Mr. Howard was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a Drill Sgt. During his working career, he worked in several different fields and his last career was Truck Driving. He was a member of Pacolet Baptist Church, Lynn, NC.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Howard; sister-in-law, Frances Howard and a niece, Laura Merck.Surviving are, Nancy Hayes; three nieces, Julie, Sarah and Alli; one nephew, Lindsey. Also surviving are several great-nieces and great-nephews.A graveside service was held in Tryon City Cemetery, Tryon, NC.Memorials may be made to Four Season Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
