Charles Kenneth Covil, Sr., 89, of Columbus, NC went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

Born in Polk County, Nc he was the son of the late Earl and Orphia Robinson Covil. He served in the US Navy for 8 years and then later served in the National Guard. During his working years, Charles owned multiple businesses. He enjoyed woodworking, landscaping and painting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Leah Covil Polasak; a son, Charles Kenneth Covil Jr. “Chuck”, and a brother, Arthur Covil.

Surviving is his wife, Norma Covil; one son, Mark Covil (Brenda); four grandchildren; five great grandchildren, and one brother, Hugh Covil.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Midway Baptist Church in Columbus, NC officiated by Reverend Kent Pruwette.
