Cecil Williams, 89, of Columbus, NC went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2021.Cecil was the son of the late Alvin and Sudie Williams of Mill Spring, NC.Surviving is his wife of 73 years, Kathleen Parker Williams; four children, George (Marcell), Jane (Roger), James (Frances) and John and two siblings, Eugene and Evelyn.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Lee), Amanda (Corey), Miranda (Matt) and Jamie (Chloe); nine great grandchildren, Austin, Cara, Chelsea, Taylor, Thomas, Kiel, Kayla, Zane and Silas and many other special grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.Cecil was predeceased by two children, Betty Morgan and Jerry Williams and four siblings, Billy, Doris, Lindburg and Donald.Cecil lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment of it.  He will be missed by everyone who knew him.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC officiated by Pastor Jimmy "Hambone" Camp officiating.
