COLUMBUS, NC - Catherine Robinson Case, 81, of Columbus, NC died Thursday, October 19, 2006 in St. Luke's Hospital, Columbus, NC. Born in Liverpool, England, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth Baggott Robinson and was the widow of Thomas Case who died in January of 2005. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tryon, NC. Surviving is one daughter, Margaret Crater of Columbus, NC and one son, Thomas H. Case and wife Nancy of Inman, SC; two grandchildren, Jennifer Case Taylor and husband Brian of Columbus, NC and Robert Virgil Case of Charlotte, NC; one great-granddaughter, Caroline Taylor; one sister, Margaret A. Lentz of Columbus, NC. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jerry G. Crater and brother-in-law, George Lentz. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2006 in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tryon, NC with Father Patrick Winslow officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722.
