Obituary
Mill Spring, NC—Carroll Lee McCraw, 77, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at his home.
Carroll was the son of the late Clarence Cecil and Nola Waters McCraw. He proudly served his country as a member of the third infantry division of the US ARMY. Carroll was well known in the local community, as he previously owned and operated Carroll's Mini Mart and Carrolls Fuel Oil.
In addition to his parents, Carroll was preceded in death by four brothers, Junior McCraw, Kenny Waters, Ray McCraw and Clarence McCraw and one sister, Mildred Waters.
Surviving, is his wife of 43 years, Sandra Ruff McCraw; four sons, Brandon McCraw of Mill Spring, NC, Jeff McCraw (Michelle) of Sunny View, NC, Darrell McCraw (Jennifer) of Columbus, NC, and Donnie McCraw (Nikki) of Spindale, NC; eighteen grandchildren, Brooke, Kristin, Lexie, Evan, Zalen, Zachary, Allison, Cameron, Benny, Bryson, Taylor, Abby, Lauryn, Caedyn, Masen, Audrey, Logan, Cooper; seven great grandchildren, Romey, Ophelia, Owen, Reid, Clarbelle, Chloe, Bronson. Also surviving are two sisters, Linda Cates and Joyce McEntyre and one brother, Bobby McCraw.
In the final three years of Carroll's life, there were three special people that aided in his care, Evan Price, Jacob Ainsworth, and Kelly Parker.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the Sunnyview Community Club House, 95 Cooper's Gap Road, Mill Spring, NC 28756.
