TRYON, NC - Carolyn Eleanor Sektberg Henderson, 92, of 70 Oak Street, Tryon, NC died Saturday, November 3, 2007 in White Oak Manor Nursing Center, Tryon, NC. Born in Dover, NJ, she was the sixth of seven children of the late Otto and Hulda Olson Sektberg, which were born in Sweden, and widow of Russell Henderson who died in 1986. Mrs. Henderson graduated from West Orange High School in NJ and worked as a secretary for Weldon Roberts Rubber Company in Newark, NJ, where she met her husband and married on March 13, 1971 in Livingston, NJ. She and her husband retired to Landrum, SC. Surviving is one sister, Jeanette Sektberg of Whiting, NJ. Also surviving in one nephew, Paul Bostrom of Cortez, CO. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Sektberg, Mildred Sektberg and three brothers, Willard, Russell and Herbert Sektberg. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2007 in the Tryon United Methodist Church, Tryon, NC with Rev. Neil Haynes officiating.
