Mill Spring, NC - Carolyn Price Arledge, 66, of Mill Spring, NC died Thursday afternoon, February 14, 2008.Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Esley and Sallie Searcy Price and widow of Willie Arledge who died in 2000. She was a graduate of Mill Spring High School and was employed by Brady Insurance for many years. Mrs. Arledge was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and active with Acteens.Surviving are one son, Scott Arledge (Amanda) of Travelers Rest, SC; one brother, George Price (Ruth) of Mill Spring, NC; one sister, Joan McComas of Mill Spring, NC. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Samantha and Grayson Arledge. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Arledge who died in 1980.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2008 in Beulah Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC with Dr. Joel Wright officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC.Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 140 Beulah Church Lane, Tryon, NC or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Dr., Columbus, NC 28722.
