SUNNY VIEW – Brian Kenneth Miller, 52, of Sunny View, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 4, 2026.
Born in Rutherford County, he was the son of David Miller and Anita Lynch Miller of Sunny View. Brian was a 1991 graduate of Polk Central High School and went on to service his country in the United States Marine Corps. and United States Army. Following his service, Brian surrendered to preach and graduated from Fruitland Institute in Hendersonville and Gordon-Conwell Theology Seminary in Charlotte. Brian pastored Lynn First Baptist Church and later went into business for himself and later was a real estate agent with Keller Williams and was a top producer.
Brian was a member of Columbus Baptist Church. He enjoyed Hot Rods and farming.
Brian passed away alongside his beloved daughter, Ellis LaRue Miller, age 12.
Surviving in addition to his parents is one sister, Karen Jones (Dave) of Newport New, Virginia; his loving close friend, Amy Vanderluit of Sunny View.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, January 11, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Columbus Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Reverend Earl McDonald and Dr. Chris Osborn officiating.
Burial will follow at Big Level Baptist Church Cemetery in Sunny View.
Military honors will be conducted by the Polk County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
