SALUDA, NC - Brainard Lane Janicki, 89, of Saluda, NC passed away Saturday morning, August 16, 2014 in Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC.Born in Pearl River, NY, he was the son of the late Franklin P. and Belle Rose Porter Janicki and husband of the late Doreen Pearson Janicki who died in 2011.Surviving is one son, Brainard Lane Janicki, Jr. of Minneapolis, MN; two daughters, Sharon Elizabeth Oed of Wallace, NC and Pamela Lane Simmons of Wilmington, NC; one sister, Ruth Barish of Pennsylvania. Also surviving are four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Private services will be held.
