Obituary

"l have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith". Shepherd, Pastor, Counselor, Mentor, Friend. Just some of the words used to describe Bishop Lester Lambert. Husband, Father, Bopbal, to his beautiful family whom he adored. On Sunday, May 11, 2025, God called Bishop Lester Lambert home. He had completed his earthly assignment with humility, grace, kindness, compassion and love for all who were blessed to know him. He is now praising His Heavenly Father at the throne of Grace where we will one day join him.

Lester Lee Lambert was born September 3 , 1961in Ir edell County to the late Billy Ray and Barbara Lambert. He served in the Army Reserves as Private First Class Officer and later worked de liv ering bread for Merita while raising his three children after losing his beloved wife, Cynthia Moose Lambert.

He met the love of h is life, Drema, while atten d ing Landmark Church of God in Statesville, NC and they were marr i ed on November 9 , 2009. Together they began ministry at local nursing homes and la ter became Pastor and First Lady at Tryon Church of God in August 2013. ln the short twelve years he pastored, he saw the church grow both in number and spir ituall y, all the while never taking any credit for his successes, but with his humble, quiet ma nn e r woul d always say "To God be the Glory", whether complimented on a sermon or commended for any accomplishments made. He was not on l y Pastor to his congregation, but to the community as a whole, reaching far more peop l e than even he realized. His work and his legacy will forever be honored at the Tryon Church of God and will be carried on by his church family because that is what he would want for his church and his community.

Lester leaves behind his beloved wife of 15 years, Drema Kay Lambert, his ch ildr en, Johnathan Lambert, Candace Lambert, Andria Lambert, Brent Snuffer (Destiny), Eric Snuffer and Hillary Rhoton.
