Betty Sue Stanley of Green Creek, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 31, 2021 at the age of 85.  She was born in Polk County, NC on March 27, 1936.  Betty was the daughter of Floyd O. and Celia Whiteside Blackwell of Green Creek, NC.Betty was a retired CNA with St. Luke's Hospital in Columbus, NC.  She also worked as a Private Duty Nurse.  She was a member of Green Creek First Baptist Church in Green Creek, NC.Betty was a loving Mother of five children.  She is survived by two daughters, Janet Culbreth of Landrum, SC and Teressa Collins of Spartanburg, SC; two sons, Roger Horne and Steve Horne both of Green Creek, NC; two sisters, Brenda High of Bluffton, SC and Doris (Choya) McEntire of Green Creek, NC and one brother, David Blackwell (Janice) of Green Creek, NC.  Also surviving are ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by a son, Ricky Horne; two brothers, Billy Blackwell and Jerry Blackwell and a granddaughter, Jennifer Nodine. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Green Creek First Baptist Church, 534 Coxe Road, Columbus, NC 28722.
