Bettie Lee Thomas White, 90, of Laurelwoods, Columbus, NC died Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills House, Landrum, SC.Born in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ada Buntin Thomasand was the widow of Donald B. White who died in 1983.Bettie moved to Polk County in 2006 coming from Covington, KY.Surviving are two daughters: Deborah Bundy (Bob) of Columbus, NC and Kellie L. Holland (Tom) of Nashville, TN and a sister, Anna Lynch of Covington, KY. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren: Karen A. Bundy, Christopher A. Bundy, Michael Holland and Richard Holland. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Kernan who died in 2010.Mrs. White will be sent to Madison Funeral Home, Madison, TN for burial in the Nashville National Cemetery, Madison, TN on February 19, 2015.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722.
