MILL SPRING, NC - Bessie Edwards Pittman, 86, of Mill Spring, NC passed away Monday evening, May 30, 2016.Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Frank and Mary Splawn Edwards and widow of James P. Pittman who died in 1998.Surviving are two daughters, Judy Arledge (William) of Mill Spring, NC and Wanda Ennist (Tom) of Tawas City, MI; two grandchildren, Blake Arledge of Mill Spring, NC and Adam Jackson (Jessica) of Tryon, NC. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren.Private services were held.Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
