BERTA MARIA RUIZ CEDENOCOLUMBUS, NC -- Berta Maria Ruiz Cedeno, 81, of 175 Mimosa Rd., Columbus, NC, died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at her home. Born in Cuba, she was the daughter of the late Francisco Ruiz and Amparo O'Reilly Ruiz. She came to the United States in 1960 from Cuba. She was of the Catholic Faith. Surviving is one niece, Vivian Cedeno Worthington of Gaffney, SC. One nephew, Yamil Cedeno Ruiz of Greenville, SC. She was the nanny of Roberto Inclan of Spartanburg, SC. Also surviving are several siblings who remain in Cuba. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Dean Cesa officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2006 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC.
