TRYON, N.C. - Bernice Ellen Ravan, 84, of Tryon, N.C. passed away, Sunday, February 6, 2011 in Autumn Care of Forest City.Born in Polk County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Tom and Ellen Covil Ravan. She worked for Dr. C.W. McCall, Sr. for 31 years, Smith Optometry for 8 years and later was a caregiver for 10 years. She was a member of Pacolet Baptist Church, Lynn, N.C.She is survived by several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, February 8, 2011 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, N.C. with Dr. Darryl E.
