TRYON, NC - Barry Myron McCarter, 51, of Tryon, NC passed away, Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at his home. Born in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late Joseph Vernon and Sara Jo Mayes McCarter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ronda Brewington. Surviving is one sister, Susan Black (Jimi); one brother-in-law, Steven Brewington; one nephew, Lanndon Brewington (Vickie); one niece, Tracy Martin (Dennis) all of Tryon, NC; great nieces and nephews, Ashley and Alicia Brewington, Jessica and Jamie Lewis, Cain and Cade Martin. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009 in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC with Rev. Danny Black officiating. Family to receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday night in the fellowship hall of Beulah Baptist Church, Tryon, NC. Memorials may be made to the Barry M. McCarter Memorial Fund, P.O.
