GREEN CREEK –
Arnold Garnell Skipper, 89, of Green Creek, passed away, Thursday morning, May 23, 2024, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City.
Born in Green Creek, he was the son of the late Ferd Skipper and Lusco Gosnell Skipper. Mr. Skipper retired from the Textile Industry. Following retirement, he farmed his land enjoying spending time on his tractor. He also enjoyed polishing on his old truck.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Dorothy Stephens, Odesa Powell, Juanita McGuire, Elsie Tate, Roy Skipper, Hester Beatty, and Gladys Nanney.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherry Skipper of Golden, Colorado and Patti Brown (Charles) of Green Creek; one son, Kevin Skipper (Tammy) of Forest City; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m., June 1, 2024, in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jacob Weaver officiating.
