COLUMBUS -- Antoinette J. (Falsetta) Montgomery went home to be with her Lord, surrounded by family, July 22, 2023 in North Carolina, formerly of Ionia, Michigan.
She was born to Frank and Pearl (King) Falsetta May 22, 1936, in Ionia. She was a devoted Catholic member, graduating in 1955 from S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic School. She married Jack Montgomery, Sr., on December 16, 1955 in Ionia. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She never missed a chance to let family know she loved them. Antoinette was also dedicated with helping at church.
Antoinette had a love for horses. She was an Ionia Horse 4-H leader for many years. She will best be remembered for her outstanding cakes she made for many people. Her best time of year was Christmas sending grandchildren and great-grandchildren $2 bills in their cards. She retired from Wolverine World Wide after many years as a computer programmer/operator. Antoinette will be dearly missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Jack and Daughter Sue. Her sisters Waneta, Kathy, Agnes and Frances. Her brothers John, Joe and William. Granddaughter Kristina Mooney
She is survived by children Jack Jr. (Sue) Montgomery of North Carolina, Cindy (Dave) Moon of Michigan, Julieann (Louis) Reeder of Wyoming and Paul (Saundra) Montgomery of South Carolina. Brother Frank (Rhonda) Falsetta of Michigan, Sister-in-law Joan Strickling of Michigan. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A very dear friend Therese Perrien and family.
A memorial mass will be held at S.S. Peter and Paul Church Saturday, August 12, 2023. Visitation 10 a.m. and mass at 11 a.m. Luncheon to follow and burial at Mt. Olivet in Ionia.
