Anthony "Todd" Hatfield, 53, of Columbus, NC entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC.Todd was originally from Varney, West Virginia and was a graduate of Concord University, Princeton, WV, class of 1989.  He then settled in Pike County Kentucky for several years, then relocated to Virginia.  Todd was a volunteer firefighter for the local department where he resided.  It was his passion in life, and he loved every part of it.  Todd moved to this area in July, 2017 where other members of his family lived.Todd was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Reid Hatfield of Varney, WV; a baby brother, Charles Runyon and two brothers, Ronnie Runyon and Johnnie Runyon of WV.Surviving are his parents, Rachel Hatfield Runyon and Joe Runyon of Columbus, NC; his son and only child, Zachary Reid Hatfield of Pike County, KY; five sisters, Amy Runyon (Curtis) of Columbus, NC, Mary Jo Twitty (Darius) of Columbus, NC, Nancy Runyon (Calvin), of East Flat Rock, NC and Roberta Runyon of Hendersonville, NC and Dorothy Bell (Dana) of Varney, WV; and a brother, Melvin Coburn of Rutledge, TN.  Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews who were dearly loved by him.There will be no services at this time.
