Anne Muse (Hayes) Meese, age 105, of Columbus, formerly of Atlanta, GA, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Tryon Estates, in Columbus, NC.Anne attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland Florida. During WWII she was overseas with the American Red Cross, Headquarters Unit in both Algiers, North Africa and Naples, Italy. She worked as a Bookkeeper/office manager with Arthur Anderson in Atlanta, GA and Anchorage, AK. Anne resided in Atlanta, GA until she was married and then spent most of her life in Washington, DC. Anne also enjoyed time in Anchorage, Alaska and on Jekyll Island, GA with her late husband Stanley F. Meese, who passed away on Nov. 15, 1980. Anne then relocated to Columbus, NC in 1995. Anne is survived by her son Scott Meese of Reno, NV, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross P.O. Box 37839 Boone, IA 50037.
