Alvin Dean Case, 70, passed away unexpectedly on August, 28, 2025.
Alvin was the son of the late Evangelist J.C. and Rosie Jackson Case. He attended Tryon High School. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his buddies. Alvin was always the life of the party. He was the former owner and operator of Upstate Plants.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Horace Case, Alton Case and Reverend Glenn Case and a sister-in-law, Peggy Case.
Surviving is one daughter, Angela Case Liford; three brothers, Bobby Case, a twin brother Calvin Case (Nancy), and Billy Joe Hurley; a sister in-law, Penny Case; a special friend and former wife, Marie Tagarelli; a nephew, Tony Case; and two nieces, Lisa Jenene Earl (Martin) and Crystal Cranford (Charlie).
A Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC officiated by Dr. Chris Osborn.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions towards funeral expenses may be made to the family.
