- Rev. Albert Lewis Teague, 77, of Columbus, NC went home to be with the Lord, Friday morning, December 8, 2017.Rev. Teague was the son of the late Charles and Mae Watson Teague. He was a devoted husband, farther, and loved serving the Lord. Rev. Teague served as a minister of the Baptist Faith for over thirty five years. He loved to talk and rarely met a stranger. After his time in ministry, he devoted his time to caring for his wife Arnell, before her passing in 2016. Rev. Teague was a member of Midway Baptist Church.Rev. Teague was preceded in death by his wife, Arnell Teague; and three brothers, Russell, Don, and Charlie.Surviving are two sons, Robert Teague (Diana) of Inman, SC and William Teague (Lara) of Fort Wayne, IN; one daughter, Mary Teague Jones (Jeff) of Columbus, NC and one sister, Carol Stahly of IN. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC.A funeral will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Peter McDonald and Rev. Gary Lockee officiating.Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC.Memorials may be made to Midway Baptist Church, P.O. Box 679, Columbus, NC 28722.
