Landrum, SC - Albert Lee Henson, 89, of Landrum, SC passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 in the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.Born November 23, 1924, he was the son of the late Augustus and Eliza Henson. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. Albert was a graduate of Landrum High School and Spartanburg Technical College. He retired from Spartanburg Steel after 25 years of service. Mr. Henson was a member of Midway Baptist Church.Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Sarah Clyde Henson; 2 sons, Darrell Henson of Tryon, N.C., and Richard Henson of Landrum, S.C.; 2 daughters, Joan Howard ( Lloyd ) of Campobello, S.C., and Bunny Williams ( Harold ) of Green Creek, N.C. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Andy and Jay Howard, and Nikki Williams. Also one greatgrandson Walker Lee Howard. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua B. Howard. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Midway Baptist Church with Rev.
